Ever heard of a good destination from a fellow member and wanted to follow his route but he is not available? Or maybe you are planning a long trip and want to see what routes are available?

Well I have been tasked to coordinate a Trip/Route library for the club. The idea is to keep a library of all the wonderful trips/routes we have in Southern Africa in electronic format so that you can download your favourite trip and use it on your GPS.

Before I begin I want to set some ground rules:

1. This is done for your benefit but if you find that the trip takes you to some areas beyond your skill level, then dont blame the club!

2. The trips/routes will be saved in Mapsource formats (.gdb and/or .gpx) as this is the most common format used by club members.

3. Each trip/route will be saved as a seperate message with a Title and a Description which will help with identifying the trip/route.

4. If you have a trip/route you want to share, e-mail it to me at roger@tpa.co.za so that I can do a bit of cleaning before uploading the file to the Forum.

5. If you have a multiday trip that you have planned and want to share please make sure you havent used too many waypoints as this can create confusion.
