Sunday 18th July 2010 Club rides notice was true to perfection. Being a new ride it was fantastic, an awesome setting and a breakfast to be remembered.
The weather was the best we've had for a long time and resulted in a record start of 31 bikes for a winters ride. It was a bit cold to start off with however the day warmed up making it a perfect day for beanies, doeks, caps, scarves and even bowler hats! The decor is outstanding and some fooling around went on with genuine stetsons, swords and bowler hats.
After breakfast a group of 8 GS’S left for a scenic ride home on the Lutini dirt road and in the end I was left literally left in the dust and missed the road back to Rosetta with the rest of the group. Moral of the story is know who is behind you and have the courtesy to wait!
Nevertheless Dennis and myself found our way back to Mooi River and enjoyed a great cup of coffee before heading back home. It was a great ride and if you haven’t been there, I recommend you make the trip next time.
Parking filled to capacity with BMWs (bikes and cars)
Beanie and coffee weather
More headgear above and below to keep the cold at bay
Roger "the mouth" had plenty to say on this icy morning
Jake with his hat collection
"Sir Lancelot" beheading Jake "The Hat".
Coating up getting ready to go.
